For some reason I thought you went in the area north of Sault Ste Marie. I didn’t realize you went in the Bancroft/Haliburton area. That’s gorgeous cottage country in there.
I do go north east of Sault Set Marie. Chub lake is a little lake Highway 129. Probably the 2 lakes that are nearest and big enough to show up on a map are Tunnel Lake and Wakomwta lake (chub lake sits between the 2). The nearest town is Thessalon. It sits on Lake Huron and is south of Chub lake.
I’ve never heard of Bancroft/Haliburton….but it sounds like I should adventure that way.
Oh – interesting. There’s a Chub Lake near Bancroft too! I guess I shouldn’t be surprised … there are just soooo many lakes here!!
As soon as you mentioned Thessalon, I remembered we had this conversation before … I blame my occasional ‘senior moment’ 😉

And yes…you all have lots of lakes. You know in Texas there are a lot of lakes but only 2 natural lakes. The rest are man made!
