Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge this week is to find Circles and Curves.
As I looked around Fort Worth Texas, I realized there were many items that matched the challenge description and explained why this city is still (proudly) called Cowtown.

I particularly like the last shot, of the mats of grass rolled up – like a swiss roll cake! 😀 I haven’t seen grass rolled up like that in Australia, maybe it’s something only in America.
Thanks Mabel! When I was growing up it seems hay (grass) was always gathered into rectangular bales….but these days I see the big rolls everywhere.
I like the comparison to the swiss roll cake!! 🙂
Yes, hay. That’s what it’s usually called. It slipped my mind there for a bit. I think it’s easier to roll up hay than put it into rectangular bales…fun to see the it all roll around 🙂
Wasn’t sure if you new what a swiss roll cake was (thought it’s mainly known in Asia), but you do! 🙂
Yes I do!
I wonder if they are the same? The swiss roll cake I am thinking of is chocolate with a white cream rolled inside…is that the same?
I love chocolate swiss roll cakes. But the one I was thinking of – that they hay reminded me of – was the “pandan swiss roll cake”. It’s a green swiss roll cake, and with a vanilla-banana-leaf kind of flavour. Very popular in Asia.
Oh…that sounds good!! That one I had not heard of. I wonder if there is such a thing here?
I don’t know if they have pandan cake in America. Maybe try finding some in an Asian grocery shop, or Chinatown. In Australia, that’s where you can find pandan cake, even though it’s processed 🙂
I Googled the Panda Swiss Cake and found recipes. I did not find a place in Texas that sells them….but I will keep looking. They look good!!
When I was in Malaysia, everyone around me was loved the Pandan Swiss Cake more than the chocolate ones 😀 I hope you get to try this cake someday. Have a good weekend, Tree. Love your positive spirit 😀
Thank you Mabel! I hope you also have a good weekend…I enjoy talking to you. Even if it is at a great distance!! 🙂
Nice! I like the hay too 🙂
Thanks Amy!
Brilliant circles and curves for this week’s challenge. I really like your photos this week. 🙂
Thanks Cee!
