We have been making frequent trips to West Texas lately. The purpose of yesterday’s trip was to deliver an electric wheelchair to Tina’s dad. There are basically two routes that we take to Brownfield and because of this we have become very familiar with each town we pass through. During our last trip (a few weeks ago) I noticed this abandoned store. We didn’t have time to stop so I made a mental note. As we headed West on I 20, early yesterday morning, the store made it on my list of must stops for this particular trip.
Great shots!
Thank you Tina!
It has a charm of it’s own!
it does…doesn’t it?! I really like old abandoned buildings.
I do too!
I like the sepia tone you gave the photos. It enhances the feeling of ‘oldness’ … I almost expected to see a horse trough out front 🙂
Thanks Joanne! I was hoping for that feeling. I should have grabbed a nearby horse and tied it to the porch!!
I like these abandoned old building images, Tree!
Thank you Amy! I appreciate your comment!
Looks like something out of an old western – except for the Coke machine. 😉
(I’d of gone back too.)
I felt the Coke machine was more excusable than the Mountain Dew machine! (look close at the first picture). At least I could pretend it was from the 50’s!!
Does this mean I’m not the only one that sees an image and obsesses over the idea until I return to take pictures?!
I second Gemma – my first thought was “where are the cowboys?” and then I saw the coke machine. Would have totally missed the Mt Dew machine if you hadn’t pointed it out. Lol!
I will hire a few west Texas cowboys the next photo shoot…just for you and Gemma!
