Look at those silly cows all lined up along the fence!
Ever since I got chased across a field by a herd of cows when I got lost hiking, I notice cows a lot more than I used to. They’re hilarious … when they are safely on the OTHER side of the fence 🙂
I was a little leery of these guys….all that stood between me and them was a single electric wire.
But they were kinda cute too…I also find them entertaining!
I am of course very curious to hear this story of you being chased by cows!!
I think there is good reason to be leery of cows. They are huge, unpredictable, and not very smart.
This was my cow story … from my first blog about hiking the Bruce Trail in Southwestern Ontario.
OK….I read the cow story! Sorry I laughed! I especially like how calm your friend was!
I also went and looked at the pictures. Wow!! what an adventure that must have been. It looked like quite a challenge.
I also liked the sign…warning you to beware of the farm animals!! 🙂
My friend Helen had been nagging me for several years to hike the 900km Bruce Trail with her. When we both retired, I ran out of usable excuses and agreed.
Although there were bad days in the journey, I’m so grateful for her persistance. I had no idea we had this stunning natural wonder in our ‘backyard’.
The cows seem to be in a conga line! Da da da da da – Da!
They did seem to have rhythm!!

It looks absolutely amazing. I didn’t add up the posts….how long did it take you?
Without looking it up myself, I think 54 over 10 months. I believe we averaged about 17km per hike.
Wow! That is dedication!
Thanks! Dedication … or craziness? I’m never really sure 😉
LOL! both are good in my book!!
Great views out that way. Looks like a great place to ride.
It was a great ride. Surprisingly plenty of hills and wide open spaces!
