Yesterday I posted photos of the court house in Waxahachie Texas. Tonight I am posting photos of the architectural details of the building. I found these faces quite remarkable.
The terra cotta faces were created at Theodore Beilharz’s stone yard in Dallas Texas. The master stone carver was Harry Herley. The Ellis county Court House located in Waxahachie Texas was built in 1895.

It’s definitely beautiful workmanship — although I don’t think I would have used the term “remarkable” to describe those faces! LOL!
