This Donkey appears to be a guard donkey. He hangs out in a field with horses. It is my understanding that donkeys do not like coyotes, dogs, etc. and will protect farm animals from such creatures in the event of an attack.

Though he seems a bit shy and not a hero that likes to have a big fuss made over him!
