Several things happened today that brought to mind thankfulness. Its amazing how much more observant I can be when I have a reason to be focused.
What I’ve decided to share tonight is my amazingly early workout this morning. I joined a boot camp group, at the invitation of a friend, at 4:30AM.
I actually love early morning workouts. I enjoy the energy I feel after getting up early and pushing myself to the point of noodle arms!
What I hate is waking up early!
I frequently try to get up early for workouts but I’ve learned if someone isn’t waiting for me at a predetermined location…I will never roll out of bed.
I am grateful that my friend invited me to join her this morning and I’m also thankful that I am able to exercise. I know so many people that are fighting disease, disability and/or other mental or physical challenges that I realize I am fortunate to have the physical ability to be active.
So guess what I have decided to do 3 days a week? Yep! I’m going to be working out at 4:30AM.
Am I crazy…yep! But I’m also excited about this new adventure and grateful for the opportunity!

I just got myself a personal trainer but, unfortunately he’s not a morning person. So the earliest I could get him for was 8 am. And then the night before he calls me and asks if I can do 9, sometimes 10. I finally told him it has to be 8. So I see him at 9 on on Wednesdays and Fridays.
If you happen to be in Fort Worth on a M, W or F you can stop in for a real early morning workout!! 😉

I am also very grateful to have the ability to exercise and be active – but I would probably draw the line at 4:30 am …unless it was for biking! 🙂
I saw a guy biking in the dark around 6am yesterday…it feels so unsafe in the dark!! one of the nice things about the early morning workouts….frees up my evenings for biking!!

Just kidding. I’m up at 4:45, but not moving until 6. I like to exercise at night, then I can plop in bed.
I get energized when I exercise and have a hard time winding down when I exercise at night 😴💤
The only reason I’m ever up at 4:30 am is because I couldn’t sleep and I haven’t gone to bed yet.
… which is exactly what would happen if I committed to an early morning anything. I’d be so worried about getting up at 4:30 am, I’d be awake all night.

LOL! I’m naturally a night person….4:30am certainly doesn’t come naturally for me. But I got this!! And I’ll wear my gold star proudly!!
