I was looking through my 4th of July firework photos today. I played around with the different edit features and decided I liked the way this photo turned out….so I’m sharing it!

365 Days of Photos – Day 185
Last night I posted several photos of Jorge Marin’s art work. Earlier today Helen C mentioned she liked one of the photos. It happened to be my favorite statue, so I decided to post a few more of the same statue.
To me there is something comforting about this piece. He seems to be protecting or rescuing the woman in his arms.
365 Days of Photos – Day 184
Saturday morning I did a training walk with my friends from the 3 Day breast cancer walk. The walk leader mapped a route that took us past the traveling art exhibit by Jorge Marin. The exhibit is called “Wings of the City.”
On Day 173 I shared photos of Tina, Sonya and me at the interactive piece of this exhibit.
Here are a few more of Jorge Marin’s pieces.

A picture of the same building I posted last night….from a different angle.
As I stood looking up at this building I thought about my dad. Any time we would drive downtown when I was a child, Dad would warn us about staring up at the sky scrapers….he would say, “don’t look up, people will think we are hicks!” He always had such a gift of words!! 🙂
