The Changing Seasons (Month 3)

My flower bed doesn’t look a lot different from last month. But I’m excited about the changes that are coming.

Right now the grass is still brown and many plants remain dormant. But buds are popping out from the tree branches and signs of Spring are slowly peeking out from the earth.

I was excited today to find a little visitor under the bushes out front. Fortunately for the bunny he chose the front yard instead of the back….he probably heard rumors about the recent demise of one of his relatives at the paws of Sugar.

The Autumn Sage is slowly returning to its bushy self.

The roses are still a few weeks off…but the leaves are healthy and growing.

The Texas Red Bud was only a stick when it first came to live in our yard 2 years ago….it looks like this year’s blooms will be beautiful.

The front flower bed still looks pretty bare…but not for long.

The metal dog is surrounded by dormant plants….but soon he will be surrounded by green.

It will be interesting to see your next series once all the buds have released all that they have been holding in this winter (especially the Texas redbud) , then metal dog will have lots of company! πŸ™‚

Can’t wait to see your redbud in flower! My roses are growing well too and I noticed today that my rosemary is starting to flower, which seems a little early, but I’m all for some colour. Just hope we don’t get a sharp frost 😦

I love the colors of Spring. I wish nothing but warm temps for you and your flowers!!
I’m hoping the red bud blooms….last year it went straight to leaves. But it’s a grown up now (2 years old) so blooms are expected πŸ™‚ (I hope)

I’m not familiar with the red bud so I will be anxiously waiting to see yours. Thank you for posting the hopeful signs of spring! New life is so exciting!
