I love this time of year. The monarch butterfly passes through our area as they migrate to Mexico for the winter.
This afternoon I had several monarchs fluttering around my backyard…I’m glad they stopped by!

I don’t know much about butterflies. Do they migrate in flocks like birds? That would be an amazing sight to see!
There is just something about a butterfly that makes me smile … well except when Theo leaps up in the air to catch and eat one
I’ve never seen large flocks but I have read about them. I think it would be quite a site to see a large flock of butterflies flying across a field.
They are amazing and the little I’ve read about their migration habits is pretty cool too!

I think seeing a field full of butterflies would be thrilling!
I think the pleasure I get seeing a butterfly is matched only by seeing a hummingbird, which visited our backyard yesterday! 🙂
