Last night I posted a picture of Sinclair Gasoline’s mascot the dinosaur. Tonight’s picture includes more of the station. It resembles how the station once looked. There is a great deal of memorabilia inside the station and out.
Snyder, Texas
I snapped this picture quickly while cutting through downtown yesterday. The church you see is the First United Methodist and even though it is a beautiful church it is not the reason I took the picture.
I took the picture because I feel the pristine blue sky is quite deceiving! It has been very cold here the last few days (20’s and 30’s F). On one hand I enjoy the blue skies…they almost make the cold tolerable. On the other hand the blue skies make me think I can run outside in my shorts to do any fun activity…then the bitter cold wind hits and I must run back in!
I know weather is relative. Many of you live in places much colder than Texas. But my reality is…I didn’t move to Texas to be cold! I could’ve stayed up North for this!
Anyway…pristine blue skies always make for a lovely background. Even if it is misleading!
Bass Hall is one of my favorite buildings in Fort Worth Texas. I especially enjoy looking at this building at night when the lights and shadows share space on the walls.
I enjoy participating in Cee’s photo challenges. Today I drove around my city looking for “industrial sites” to photograph. My family kindly tagged along. This picture, with the car idling in the corner, shows my family patiently waiting while I snap pictures of an old warehouse.
