This week Cee has asked us to share photos of birds.
We were lucky enough to meet this guy in the Alaskan Rainforest Sanctuary. He was injured and is no longer able to survive in the wild. It was an amazing moment to be so close to such a majestic creature.

Today I ate my lunch on the banks of the Trinity River. I enjoyed watching several Egrets fly up and down the river.
Its that time of year…the Grackles are gathering.
I love watching them
So of course I stopped and took pictures
This morning I was sitting on a client’s porch. We were visiting, when a Cardinal landed on the porch steps. I’ve been wanting to catch a photo of a cardinal all summer. I mentioned to my client how much I like cardinals and how they always fly away before I can get a picture.
My client told me this one would not fly away. When I asked him why he pointed to the hibiscus plant beside me and said “His babies are in there.”
Sure enough….I was sitting within a foot of these cute little babies.
