5 Day Black & White Challenge – Day 2

Day 2 of the 5 Day Black & White challenge. The rules of this challenge are simple. I will post 5 photos in 5 days and I will invite a different person to join the challenge each day.

I am excited to invite Aletta from Now at Home. I really like the joy in her photography. The brightness of her subjects always catches my eye. I hope you all will go to her page and look through her posts.

I noticed this bench outside a local restaurant in an area known as Old Town. I like the aged look of the bench and mailboxes and viewing them as black and white seems to give them even more of an antique (ish) look.

365 Days of Photos – Day 45

We made a quick (18 hours) out and back trip to Brownfield Texas today. It seemed like a good idea yesterday…but the last 100 miles were pretty rough.

The good news is….we never take a trip without stopping to take pictures. Here are a few of the sights from today’s journey.

365 Days of photos – Day 44

I must apologize to all people being slammed with winter storms right now.

But it looks like Spring is right around the corner here in Texas. I noticed over the past few days the greenery of daffodils popping up. Today was the first bloom I spotted.

I realize winter isn’t quite finished with us…our temperatures will still have a few dips…I just hope they don’t dip low enough to injure these poor guys!!

365 Days of Photos – Day 42

This is a photo I took right after the new year. It is of the Tarrant County Courthouse downtown Fort Worth. It is a beautiful building, built in 1895. It sits at the far South end of Main Street. This picture was taken from Sundance Square, the activity hub of downtown, 2 blocks North of the courthouse.

365 Days of Photos – Day 29

This farm caught my eye this morning. The sun was hitting it just right! So yes indeed, I did a quick detour and took a few pictures before moving on up the highway!

I got very excited when I noticed the horses heading toward the barn for breakfast!

Unfortunately I did not have my camera with me…so these photos were taken with my iPhone 5s
