365 Days of Photos – Day 199

This morning I was sitting on a client’s porch. We were visiting, when a Cardinal landed on the porch steps. I’ve been wanting to catch a photo of a cardinal all summer. I mentioned to my client how much I like cardinals and how they always fly away before I can get a picture.

My client told me this one would not fly away. When I asked him why he pointed to the hibiscus plant beside me and said “His babies are in there.”

Sure enough….I was sitting within a foot of these cute little babies.

365 Days of Photos – Day 192

Apparently this did not post last night….I’m not sure why….but her it is. Yesterday’s photo, today!

I recently heard someone say….”Crepe Myrtles are a good enough reason to live in Texas.”

I thought that had a ring of truth. Having grown up in the North I was not familiar with crepe myrtles. They are such a beautiful tree and they add so much color to an area that can be quite brown during the summer.

I don’t have a crepe myrtle in my yard….but I plan to plant one (or more) this Fall.
