I met this cute young lady at the parade last night…
The community I live in had their annual Christmas parade this evening. I joined the local bike shop, decorated my bike and rode in the parade.
Did anyone else notice the skip from day 332 to 338?
If not…please just skip ahead to today’s photo…nothing to see here.
If you did…I don’t know what happened! Some how over the last 338 days I lost track of the days. I suspect it was during my vacation last August when I was off the grid for a week and had to do some major catching up. However, I have no desire to go back and look into it. I really don’t! đŸ˜‰ So lets move onto today’s photo….
We made a quick trip to west Texas (30 hour round trip) to visit Tina’s aunt, uncle and dad. We never seem to have as much time as we would like to spend with the family…but we always enjoy getting to see them even if only for a short time.
It is cotton picking season out west. Miles and miles of cotton fields. I couldn’t resist stopping for a few pictures.

Vacancy
Recently I was telling Joanne from My Life Lived Full about our new moose nativity and moose decorations for Christmas….
Since I couldn’t explain how absolutely precious a baby-moose-Jesus is I decided to post a few pictures.
The wise – moose have their gifts and the shepherd-moose has his little sheep (isn’t he cute?) I’m just not sure why there isn’t an angel-moose.

Doesn’t that look like a proud daddy-moose?
Low water crossing – Trinity River

I just thought it looked cool.
Day 30! I made it…I completed the NaBloPoMo challenge…post daily for 30 days.
I will admit I missed out on 4 days of posting. I decided not too be too hard on myself and celebrate the 26 days I did blog.
I’ve enjoyed sharing more of myself and I’ve enjoyed spending more time writing and thinking about writing.
Now the goal will be to maintain consistent writing.
Thank you to everyone that stuck with me through this month of posts…I appreciate the support.
So long November…and the NaBloPoMo challenge…until next year!
The leaves are still hanging onto the branches. Tomorrow it will be December, Christmas is 25 days away….and the leaves are still on the trees.
Seasons run a bit odd here in Texas….due to the warmer temperatures. Sometimes you just have to decorate for the holidays and trust the calendar is right.
Is it Spring yet?

It has rained in North Texas for the last 5 days….non-stop rain. This is not typical and it certainly didn’t make for an enjoyable holiday weekend.
I know rain is necessary…and we did recently find our way out of a very long drought because of all the rain we had last May. So I’m accepting of the wet stuff falling from the sky…but that doesn’t mean I like it!
This morning Sonya tried to convince us that church was canceled because of the rain. However, she did agree to go with us after we promised McDonald’s breakfast.
Once we arrived at church she found a plastic grocery bag in the car and decided she would use it as rain gear (yes I had an umbrella…she chose plastic!

The latest in rain gear
Sonya did enjoy seeing her friends at church and as always singing along with the music. But the big surprise came when the usher said Rev. Carol West wanted Sonya to join her for the post-communion prayer.
With much excitement Sonya went up front and joined Rev. West.
Sonya was honored and took her role very seriously.

And finally…the hug
Rain or no rain…it was a good day to be at church.
