365 Days of Photos – Day 1

This picture was the first picture taken by me in 2015. It was taken at 2:08 AM on      January 1, 2015.                                                                                                                                   We arrived home from a New Year’s Eve get-together and as a normal occurrence in our household the dogs were let out to do their business. Unfortunately it had been raining and many muddy paws re-entered the house and jumped on the bed. This resulted in a changing of the sheets. But a very playful and silly dog wanted to play instead of letting us make the bed. And that resulted in a picture of a silly dog playing tent under the pink sheets!

The Daily Post – Weekly Photo Challenge / Converge

“Photos are visual spaces where shapes and lines, objects, and people come together. Geometry in photography — shapes, diagonals, vanishing points….”

I have always been fascinated with photos and drawings of objects vanishing in the distance. An object that goes so far it disappears into the horizon. Objects like a railroad line or a country road.

Traveling through the wide open spaces of West Texas this past weekend I found many examples of vanishing points…here are two of the scenes I captured
