Cee’s Odd Ball Photo Challenge – 2015 Week #2

A few weeks ago I was driving around town looking for industrial shots for Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge. When off in the distance what did I see? Well it certainly wasn’t a jolly old guy, but I thought it might be an excessive amount of Christmas decorations.

As I got closer I realized these were not Christmas decorations….but what were they?

Wow! Beer can art? Recycling gone bad? Or simply a man with a little too much time on his hands?

I think this gentleman (yes I’m assuming NO woman would do this!!) may need to start a blog…what do you think his topic would be?!

I believe one of the most beautiful sights in the world is the shadowed floor of a forest.

Travel Theme: Laughter

Laughter is so important. I believe it helps me stay relatively sane in a relatively insane world!

The people in this picture are dear friends of mine (I am the gray-headed girl!) We spend many hours together training to walk 60 miles in 3 days. The 3 Day walk is meant to raise money and awareness for breast cancer.  These pictures were taken after completing one of our many fund raisers….a pageant for girls and ladies with developmental disabilities. We are always on such a high after that event. This year we ended up at Sundance Square and for some reason we needed a picture of our team “jumping for joy” over the money we had raised.

We quickly learned that 3 of us (over 50) could no longer jump like we did when we were 16. Who knew? We sure didn’t….we were totally shocked! But we didn’t give up and in the process we found people on the periphery quite entertained!

In this photo I am trying to explain to my teammate…if only he’ll put his foot in my hands I can flip him into the air! Needless to say that didn’t happen…but we did laugh!!

365 Days of Photos – Day 8

I snapped this picture quickly while cutting through downtown yesterday. The church you see is the First United Methodist and even though it is a beautiful church it is not the reason I took the picture.

I took the picture because I feel the pristine blue sky is quite deceiving! It has been very cold here the last few days (20’s and 30’s F). On one hand I enjoy the blue skies…they almost make the cold tolerable. On the other hand the blue skies make me think I can run outside in my shorts to do any fun activity…then the bitter cold wind hits and I must run back in!

I know weather is relative. Many of you live in places much colder than Texas. But my reality is…I didn’t move to Texas to be cold! I could’ve stayed up North for this!

Anyway…pristine blue skies always make for a lovely background. Even if it is misleading!
