We went to west Texas this weekend. I took my bike along for a little ride.
I thought about riding to Roswell NM…then thought better of it!! Instead I rode 30 miles. Longest ride of the season…so far!!
I saw well plowed fields….
and lots of cows!
Juice, juicing….something I never thought I would do!
Since we started eating a plant based diet, juice has turned into a nice treat. We invested in a Vitamix and we enjoy trying new places that specialize in vegetarian or vegan foods and juices. Juice Junkies was one of the first places we tried…and has remained at the top of our list of favorites.
The A – Z Challenge will run through April. Each day is a different letter and a different photo…I hope you all enjoy!
The Indian Paintbrush is a beautiful wildflower that grows happily along side the Bluebonnets. It is part of the colorful landscape this time of year in Texas.
Just under the wire….
I took this picture earlier today. Normally I would consider it a “throw away” shot. But as soon as I saw it I thought about this week’s challenge….Blur!
The more I looked at it, the more I liked it…blur and all!

I walk a lot. But I don’t get a chance to “hike” very often. I guess to me hiking is getting away and becoming absorbed in nature. This is one of those things I will jump at the opportunity to do if it presents itself…but I rarely initiate the activity.
This picture was taken a few years ago in New Mexico. I was hiking with my friend Corey and my Pomeranian Chelsea (notice she is peaking out from the backpack!).
Back in February my friend and fellow blogger Amy from, The World is a Book, posted a picture of Tarrant County College in downtown Fort Worth. Her angle of the campus was fabulous and she was kind enough to mention me in her post.
Earlier this evening I was biking on the Trinity River Trail and happened past the campus. i thought of Amy and the picture she posted. I decided to stop and get a shot of the campus from the opposite angle that Amy had taken her photo. So here it is…
These photos were taken at the Fort Worth Zoo. I think this guy is very handsome!
This guy may not be a “real” gorilla…but he’s cute! He was part of the cheering crowd during the 3 Day walk for breast cancer. The lovely people surrounding him are my dear friends, teammates and fellow walkers.
