I really like the the large wind turbines. Even though we don’t have any in the immediate areas there are thousands in west Texas. Occasionally I will see semi trucks hauling the blades. Today I saw a train with nearly 25 blades – one blade for every car. Fortunately the train was parked so I was able to get up close. Unfortunately I couldn’t get a shot from a decent angle to show the endless string of blades.
Here is one photo I did get….it shows several blades.

Have I mentioned lately that it has been raining in Texas? Maybe I whined about it more than mentioned it!
Anyway….This is NOT a lake. This is a field covered with water.
These are a few of the cows that are supposed to be grazing in this field.
They say the rain is supposed to stop. No more rain for at least a week. It is past time for the rain to stop. People have lost lives, homes, pets and cars. The rain has done its damage in Texas.
People in Texas are truly stunned. We rarely worry about rain ruining an outing or activity. Lately everything has hinged on the rain. Hopefully the predictions are right and we will have an opportunity to dry out a bit during this upcoming week.
365 Days of Photos – Day 147
Yesterday I stopped by a client’s house. I noticed these two pigeons sitting under the tree in her front yard. I thought little of it.
Today I stopped back by to drop something off. As I turned toward my car I noticed the 2 pigeons out of the corner of my eye, sitting in the exact same place. I did a double take.
“Are those the same two birds I saw yesterday?”
My client proudly told me those two pigeons spend a lot of time in her yard.
I had to get my camera out. The pigeons seemed perfectly happy to pose for their photo shoot!
