The Changing Seasons (Month 3)
My flower bed doesn’t look a lot different from last month. But I’m excited about the changes that are coming.
Right now the grass is still brown and many plants remain dormant. But buds are popping out from the tree branches and signs of Spring are slowly peeking out from the earth.
I was excited today to find a little visitor under the bushes out front. Fortunately for the bunny he chose the front yard instead of the back….he probably heard rumors about the recent demise of one of his relatives at the paws of Sugar.
The Autumn Sage is slowly returning to its bushy self.
The roses are still a few weeks off…but the leaves are healthy and growing.
The Texas Red Bud was only a stick when it first came to live in our yard 2 years ago….it looks like this year’s blooms will be beautiful.
The front flower bed still looks pretty bare…but not for long.
The metal dog is surrounded by dormant plants….but soon he will be surrounded by green.
Thank you for stopping by my changing seasons….if you would like to see more photos from around the world visit Cardinal Guzman’s page and see how the seasons are changing for others.

365 Days of Photos – Day 72
We went to see Cinderella tonight. You may have guessed it from the photo I posted earlier this week of Sonya….she is quite dramatic. She loves the spot light and likes to imitate her favorite characters. After watching The Hunger Games Sonya can no longer get on a diving board without holding up 3 fingers and calling for a revolution!
On the way home from the theater tonight she was nominating different dogs for different positions around the carriage. This of course may be in direct conflict with the fact that Sugar has already been dubbed “Sandy” (From Annie). I wonder if Hollywood would have a problem combining a few movies?
365 Days of Photos – Day 71
The other day I was looking through my photos and noticed a couple fun photos that were taken last October when we were visiting the Dallas Arboretum.
The first picture is a picture I took of my friend Corey taking a picture of the 3 ladies that live with Tina and me. Notice the screen on his iPhone.
The second picture Tina took of me “holding” Corey in one hand!
Sometimes you just have to be silly….well for me its most of the time!

I took my first bike ride of the “Spring” today. It was a 15 mile round trip. My body certainly needs to reacquaint itself with the bike 🙂
I rode out to this wonderful little waterfall that me and one of my walking/biking buddies found last year. It is such a peaceful and beautiful place. This visit was especially nice because we’ve had so much rain lately there was actually water falling over the rocks!
This 2nd picture is of a railroad trestle that crosses the river and bike trail.
